The Walden House

Nestled against the backdrop of the majestic Table Mountain lies The Walden House. Build in 1900, this gracious Victorian home and garden suites, have been restored to it’s original splendour and refurbished with the most elegant finishes. It has a colonial style, with a touch of Africa, and an open ambience without any clutter, with each piece of furniture selected with a purpose.

There are seven elegant en-suite rooms that offer you an unique and private setting in colonial style: White cotton bed-linen, mosquito netting and white painted wooden floors. Four of the rooms offer direct access to the beautiful garden. The large luxury suite has a fireplace, large Victorian bathroom with separate shower and toilet. It offers direct access to the balcony with mountain views. All the bathrooms are luxurious with heated towel rails and brass fixtures.

Each room has a television set, telephone, bar fridge and air-conditioning.

Breakfast is always a treat at The Walden House. The in-house chef offers you a wholesome colonial breakfast in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a versatility of seasonal and local ingredients which are creatively prepared and beautifully served.

Breakfast can also be enjoyed outside, next to the fresh water swimming pool.
