The M-Bar & Lounge, on the 1st floor of Cape Town’s latest luxury boutique hotel, the HIP Metropole, oozes sex appeal. It’s warm, it’s stylish and it’s fun! The richly hued poppy-red lounge area offers intimate relaxation corners and features red ostrich leather chairs, subtle sophisticated upbeat (background) music and a Versace fabric covered sofa. Comic wire bent figurines appear where heavy stuffed animal heads once hung. The reddish illumination and styling oozes a sexy decadent atmosphere without any pretence. Conde Nast’s House Garden voted the M-Bar & Lounge of one the best hotel bars in South Africa.
