BACKGROUND

Naartjie Clothing started out in 1989 as a local brand sold on craft markets like

Greenmarket Square

before opening the first Naartjie store in the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre in the V&A Waterfront and becoming exposed to locals and foreign tourists on a large scale. This led to exposure to visitors from all over the globe and it wasn’t long before some pretty famous names were dressing their kids in Naartjie. Amongst these were the late Princess Di and her sister-in-law Fergie, whose two daughters were snapped in the Caribbean dressed from head to toe in Naartjie outfits.

THE LOOK

Naartjie has always had a unique look with fresh colours, original prints and current fashion styling. This combined with natural fabrics, a comfortable fit and durability has helped to make Naartjie as popular with the babies and kids wearing them as the Mums and Dads buying them.

Naartjie’s unique inter-coordinated ranges, that are updated with new prints, styles and colours, every 5 to 7 weeks, means that there is always something new in store and that it will coordinate with other items bought earlier in the same season. This gives loyal, local customers a reason for regular, rewarding visits to Naartjie.

STORES

Naartjie now has 15 stores around SA, including three Factory Shops. The latest SA store opened in Port Elizabeth in Walmer Park’s new fashion mall in October. See below for a list of national stores.

Internationally, Naartjie’s expansion in the USA continues with 17 stores along the Western Seaboard from San Diego to Portland, Oregon, and Utah and Nevada.

WHAT’S NEW
