Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts
Don't miss the Sunday afternoon concerts in Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens in Cape Town. About five thousand people turn up to enjoy al-fresco blues or Afro-jazz, big band sounds, carols by candlelight, string quartets, divine diva's and classical music. Spier Amphitheatre, Stellenbosch
This historic one-stop food, wine and entertainment estate, has a superb open-air theatre. Enjoy an African take on the classics, opera and international stage shows. Open September-March, with a capacity of just over one thousand. Tel: 021 809 1178/1158, only 40 minutes drive from Cape Town

Oude Libertas in Stellenbosch, feature contemporary drama, dance and live music on Wednesdays to Sunday evenings from December to March, tel: 021 809 7473/4.
