Nestled at the foot of the picturesque Chapmans Peak Drive overlooking the beach, lies the "Grande Old Lady" of Hout Bay, the 117 year-old Chapmans Peak Hotel, family run since 1977.

Situated 20km for Cape Town, along the Atlantic Seaboard, this charming and gracious hotel awaits you.

The hotel has currently 10 charming original rooms. Four of our ten light & airy, well-appointed guest rooms have sea-facing vistas across the Hout Bay Harbour to the Sentinel Mountain.
In refurbishing the rooms we retained the unique charm of a bygone era but added modern touches to add comfort and style for your stay. The interior decor lends itself to a warm, calming and relaxed ambience

The hotel is expanding and will be introducing 21 luxurious new rooms and two magnificent penthouse suites, which will be a mere stone throw from the beach. These new spacious rooms will have spectacular views of Hout Bay beach and surrounding mountains. Hout Bay is widely regarded as the most picturesque bay in South Africa. The sound of the sea lapping the shore will ensure total tranquillity and relaxation.

The restaurant is a local institution, renowned worldwide for the best Calamari in Cape Town, with a popular sun-drenched terrace overlooking the bay and mountains.

The new conference and banqueting facility has rapidly become a favourite choice given its unique location that inspires creativity and team-building.
