DEDICATED TO THE PRESEVATION OF JAZZ The Green Dolphin is dedicated to the nurturing and continuation of a spirit and ambience that is uniquely Cape Town's. for we are more than a sophisticated waterfront restaurant redolent with the maritime past of a great seaport; we are South Africa's only centre devoted seriously to the performance of hat finest of all man's melodic creations - jazz. OUR COMMITMENT The Green Dolphin Restaurant opened in 1990 with a pledge - "Dedicated to the preservation of jazz" Since opening night, we have presented live jazz - the cream of the Cape musicians, the major South African names in jazz and top international performers - each and every night. The nominal live entertainment charge levied during live performances nightly goes towards financing the present and especially, ensuring the future of the proud Cape tradition of jazz.
