Established in 1984, Peter Gilder Jewellery has become internationally synonymous with fine quality and exceptional workmanship.

\"My philosophy is that a jewellery business of this calibre must be run by the owner, with a hands-on approach\", says Peter, who still works in the store himself, attending to clients who have supported him for the past 26 years.

His daughter Mandy, who joined the business in 2003, now has her own division, which offers a younger and more fashion conscious collection, but still maintains the quality standards set by her father. This personal approach has ensured that the relationships forged between client and staff, are strong and enduring.

Peter is supported by a young and dynamic team of designers and highly experienced goldsmiths who create original bespoke items to satisfy their many and varied clients demands. Uniquely, the entire process from design to manufacture, is performed within the store, and is personally overseen by Peter and his management team.

The workshop forms an integral part of the shop, and is visible from both outside and inside the store \"I believe our team of goldsmiths is one of our most important assets, and they deserve to be seen. So many workshops are hidden away, which is a great pity. Our clients enjoy watching their pieces being created. It is an important aspect of the whole fine jewellery experience\" says Peter.

Although Peter is an experienced diamond grader, he is ably assisted by resident Graduate Gemmologist Irene Modlin.

Diamonds are not the only stones to be found at Peter Gilder Jewellery. They also have a large selection of Sapphires, Emeralds, Rubies and Pearls, and of course, Tanzanites – one of the most exciting gemstone discoveries of our time.

The Mandy G division offers a large selection of high-fashion items, ranging from modern Sterling Silver items, to Titanium to colourful gemstones. Most are designed by Mandy herself, and nearly all are original one-off pieces. Her philosophy of \"why fake it\" comes across very strongly within the Mandy G department, where one is able to find young, trendy in-expensive jewellery, with all the flair and focus on quality it deserves. It is this next generation approach which keeps Peter Gilder in the forefront of jewellery design and trends.

Recent additions to the selection offered by Peter Gilder are the globally successful Pandora and Thomas Sabo collections.
